Free microwave

Post by Guest » 12 Jul 2004, 18:27

I am in the process of doing up my kitchen, and have a Philips Whirlpool microwave oven which I have no use for. It's in perfect working order, and features a built-in grill. Charity shops can't take it due to electrical safety regulations, but I hate to throw it out. If any Portyweb regulars have a use for it, send me a private message via Portyweb and I can arrange for you to pick it up.

Mind, it's heavy, and I live on the third floor, so you'll need a car.

This is very generous of you and I hope that someone is able to benefit from this. However, I couldn't help noticing that you appear to have a snake inside your microwave oven. Does it come as part of the package or is it being sold separately? Or does my sparking rosé (ctrl alt e - you see, I remembered. Well, no, actually I didn't but I found a use for the search facility, but I digress) have hallucinogenic properties?

If you want to give the microwave to charity, have you tried the Bethany Christian Trust? They take electrical goods according to their website - phone number is 0131 467 3993. Website www.bethanychristiantrust.com

If you don't get anywhere with Bethany, the Edinburgh Furniture Initiative takes appliances.
