I have a good pal who is disabled and he had a chat with one of the so called "Blue Meanies" the other day and what a surprise the BM was just an ornery' person doing his job.
During the conversation the BM divulged that he writes more tickets for the two disabled spaces outside the Town Hall than the whole of the rest of Portobello. This has continued even after the signage improvements.
What can be done? I would like to see a sign similar to the casualty signs that we see on dangerous roads. Something like "In the last 3 weeks 45 pieces of Scum have got tickets for illegally parking in these spaces." Perhaps we could get one of the megaphonic socialists to watch the spaces on Saturday and sing "You're Scum and we know you are" as the filth alight? Any other suggestions?

Not much changed in all these years.
A few weeks ago I gave my Ma in law, who's disabled , a lift to a funeral at St Johns church.
Said I'd pick them up outside the Town Hall after.
When the time came I couldn't park there as the spaces were being used and neither car had a blue badge.
I ended up parking on the yellow lines until MIL was in car and wheelchair loaded into the back of the volvo.
