rankings - 500 posts
We have one rank missing. I just couldn't come up with a name for someone who had posted 500+ messages. It is a rank that I will achieve fairly soon at my current rate of posting. So what comes after portyobsessed?
My son suggests 'portyholic'.
My wife suggests 'mywifehasjustleftme'.
What is your suggestion?

I can imagine. Problem is, we have run out of little squares to colour in. We could make them flash of course but I was jealously saving that privilege for the administrator. Or we could re-calibrate the rankings, so that you needed 1000 posts to become portypotty etc, but that might upset a lot of people.
Flash, re-calibrate or neither - the choice is yours! And if we do create a new ranking for 1000 posts, as Marya points out, we need a new name.

You can see he's trying to out-flank me here, can't you? He knows that with his posting rate he's bound to beat me to 1500.Porty wrote:I think no new ranking for 1000 and not because Bob is going to beat me to it!
We should hold out for 1500 or 2000 and then have the final rank. No suggestion as to the name but we have some time to decide.
And now my problem is, what shall I choose for my history-making 1000th post?

I have indeed been struck dumb. It's a time for reflection. Two years and 1000 posts. There must be a good one in there somewhere.
Can anyone find it?

Oh *&^*%%^£%&^*!
I've been trying to avoid that.
As for the t-shirt - what t-shirt? I have no idea what you're talking about. I think you must be mistaking me for someone else. <glances round shiftily>

All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt!

Thought the first link was intended. Had me smiling at least!
Think my favourite was your rant about the un-Christian parishioners of St James' when the poor minister happened to complain that the Edinburgh Marathon parking restrictions would affect his Sunday service.
Do you think he'll still pay his BRA dues with a smile this year Bob?

Ohhh...I see.
Like Marya, I thought it was on purpose - that you were basically saying nobody would find any interesting posts by you!
Which of course I thought was absolute, utter nonsense. Of course. absolutely.
