I wish I could remember the name of the guy who put up my aerial, he was a bad tempered sod who left a mess. I saw him on the neighbour's roof recently, standing up there with hands in pockets, fag in gob, staring at the sky :D

I used Surrey Arials once years ago when we still lived in Leith. They were great. It was after a Christmas time storm and everyone's arials, including ours, were dangling from the rooftops. Despite being really busy they turned up as promised and fixed it quickly. Maybe there has been a change in the workforce since then :?

Think its the same bloke at Surrey Aerials - a kind of Victor Meldrew Cable Guy. Puts up a decent TV aerial but don't expect too many laughs.

The exact opposite to Rod Hull really.

I should have added that I didn't have any problems with the aerial afterwards, and it wasn't expensive

He just grumbled and criticised me/ the room/ flat/ roof/ competitors the whole time, was rude to my neighbours and left a trail of sawdust and grit. I had the BT line installed in the same week, but their workman was polite, friendly, helpful, and swept up after himself!

Stuart doesn't have too much to laugh about at the moment. Was a few weeks away from full remission from throat cancer and it got him again. He's on the mend, he hopes. Been nothing short of briliant for my own and extended family's aerial needs over the last 30 years.
