DISCLAIMER
This was not my idea. Porty asked me to host and publish these pictures. The increasingly gory images demonstrate the result of a particularly nasty bite by a
Brown Recluse spider.

Do you think it's fake? Did you read this bit?
A minority of brown recluse spider bites form a necrotizing ulcer that destroys soft tissue and may take months to heal, leaving deep scars. The damaged tissue will become gangrenous and eventually slough away.

Ah! Is this why Porty is so fixated with life expectancy today? Did he get more than he bargained for in the fruit and veg department?

What's wrong with using your tongue? Maybe with a little vinegar or tabasco?

My nice Chilean Rose could never compete with that!!!
She's a nice, quiet wee spider!!! Wouldn't hurt a fly!!!! ( just crickets!!)

Why be scared????

I am terrified of our 8-legged - er - 'friends'! And it's no good anyone telling me they are a million times smaller than me!
I can happily deal with beetles, slugs, worms - anything - EXCEPT spiders! If I get one in the bath, I have great problems keeping clean! I once asked the postie to come in and get rid of one for me, because I had gone 3 days with just a standing wash in the kitchen! It's the legs! Non-poisonous ones freak me out. I could never deal with the poisonous ones!

Next time you have spider in the bath drape some toilet roll over the side, sort of from the bottom of the bath over the side to the floor.
This gives the spider something to "grip" and it'll climb out on its own
