Just to let folks know that Channel 4 are screening 3 (or maybe 4 - not sure) short films after their news programme ends at 7.55pm over the next few nights.
Tonight's offering is from Shirley Manson who, when tired with her jet setting around the world with the band Garbage, could come back to her wee but and ben at Eastfield.
Bet she doesn't though.
Other contributors are the artist John Bellany (a favourite of mine), some pugilist bloke called 'Arthur something' or that could be 'something Arthur' and a ten year old girl from the west side of Edinburgh somewhere.
Edinburgh's coastline should at least figure in the Bellany programme with his use of the sea and things of it and on it in his art.
Could be interesting.
My Edinburgh
Re: My Edinburgh
Erm, actually, she does spend quite a bit of time here, from what I can gather. I do voluntary work for Waverley Care, and she's their patron and is in and out of Solas reasonably frequently, so must be in edinburgh - and therefore at home - quite a bit.ecm wrote: Bet she doesn't though.
Thanks for the info - will try and catch one or two!
All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt!

Oops.
I take it all back then. I'm just jealous of her money, talent and the fact she looks so goddamn good with cropped hair!
Where else in the world could compare to Porty right enough. The views from the beach across to Fife and down the East Lothian coast are stunning. It's the Scottish Riviera.

I don't know that you missed much really.
The programme consisted of a commentary by Ms Manson talking about Edinburgh, Stockbridge, the Castle etc. played over film of her walking around a room in the Point Hotel.
There was no talking to camera at all and no shots of edinburgh or the places being mentioned.
Tonight's film is by boxer Alex Arthur. A young lad who will wax lyrical about the Dumbiedykes apparently!
