I was delighted to get home today to find the latest issue of the Portobello Reporter had been delivered. (Autumn 2008 issue).

Though it irritates me somewhat that the people who deliver it dont bother to put them through the letterboxes, instead they opt to dump a pile at the bottom of the communual stair! One of lifes small unimportant irritations!

Changed lifts to lifes in the final sentance.

I'm sure they'd welcome the help with door-to-door, or rather right-in-your-letterbox delivery Michael!

Portobello Reporter Summer Issue

Post by Brenda » 06 Sep 2008, 16:16

Michael Traill says he had a number of 'Reporters' dumped at the bottom of the steps. The 'Reporter' pays the company Distribution Unlimited to deliver the paper and they are not supposed to do this.
If he sends us his address, to portyreporter@btinternet.com (as on page 2 of the paper) we will speak to DU about this.
We receive very few complaints, but ask anyone else who experiences problems with the delivery to let us know.

Brenda, I wouldnt loose any sleep over the matter, I certainly aint!

The old lady up the stairs is very promt at binning anything left on the floor of the stairs so they wernt causing a problem for long.

Erm, no thanks! But Im willing to do without getting a copy delivered, that will lighten the workload (by a couple of grams).
