Does anyone know what's happening on Straiton Place? A lot of Police presence!!

Reports of a large man with a large knife according to neighbours who were outside smoking.
Suggestions that he's gone into the stair at the end.
The street is blocked off from no1 to no 7
The armed response and dog van have left.
Was speaking to very nice policeman at our end but he's giving nothing away.

I missed all this starting as we had the blinds down ( unlike last night when we saw the greenhouse in Regent St getting smashed )

There's something ironic that all these police are in Straiton Place while the racous teeenage drinkers are destroying bins and threatening each other on the Prom

On the subject of rampaging youths last night, Youths were causing an awful lot of noise in the Mount Lodge / Windsor locus last night with one teenager getting a belting from another for apparently trying it on with his burd!

I dinnie mind the youths hanging about street corners or wandering along residential streets, but when they start shouting 'ere we go, ere we go' at the top of their voices at 11pm it does ma nut in!

We'd had a group chanting the "here we go" at one point last night.
They must have wandered up your way.

Anyone heard anything else about what went on.
I've heard rumours of a stabbing but I certainly didnt see an ambulance along this end.

At one point I saw a small group of youths show a polis in a van a pic on a mobile!! Van on Prom at Pittville Street. About midnight?

Lots of shouting a running about on the prom at the kings road end last night about 11! was out with the dogs and a police man asked if i had seen a young girl dressed in pink said i was to stay away from her if i saw her cause she had a knife

wonder if it was connected?
