Thunderbirds Are Go!

The Bob family went to see Thunderbirds Are Go at the weekend and loved it! Today, Ford Bramall in Portobello had the original FAB 1 from the movie, along with a pink Ford Thunderbird and a limited edition pink StreetKa. You can still catch it tomorrow morning before the show moves on to Newcastle.

The immutable law of nature - surely, as night doth follow day, shall the original phenomenon be followed by the lookalike industry.

I'm not going to laugh at two people just trying to earn a crust. They are professionals and are making a good impression (geddit).

Did they walk around the showroom jerking their arms marionette style?

Well, I don't think they were hired as lookalikeys as such. I spoke to 'Parker' and he isn't an actor or a model or anything, just the bloke responsible for looking after the cars while they are in transit around the country.

I thought they could have done a good job of 'Carry on Thunderbirds' though, to the extent that I was prompted to ask the photographer at one point if we could have Lady P over the bonnet. I think she was up for it but they were afraid the paintwork might get scratched.

FAB 1 on the Promenade and nobody got a photo of it!? Wangi, what do we pay you for?
