1906 (according to 2.9 and 4.1 of the Portobello Conservation Area Character Appraisal document).

The most prominent of Portobello s churches is St. John s Roman Catholic Church in Brighton Place (J. T. Walford, 1906). It is a highly individual building, mixing Gothic and Arts and Crafts styles, its octagonal pinnacle towers dominate the town's skyline.
