people you havent seen for years

No names no pack drill- recently I've found the balande swinging from "you've not changed" to "I think I know you". Its scary and I'm sure they think the same about me. I love bumping into them but its starting to make me feel sad.

After quite an absence I returned home to the village, where I was brought up, only to find everyone my age had turned into their parents

I got an email yesterday from a guy I worked beside at the Glasgow Garden Festival in 88. Not seen him for ages but I still count him as a friend. :D

Tra we do turn into our parents. No matter what resistane we put up. However, now that 50 is rushing towards me I find I see more and more people turned out to be like friends or relations of their parents. How can that be?

I am horrified at the number of times i find myself doing / saying things and thinking 'I am my Dad...'

But equally horrified at the very large '50' sign that I too am rushing towards. Perhaps we should have a group breakdown?

Since the thought of reaching 50 is so hoffic (Very very small print: apparently), I will count my blessings that I have 25 years to go till I get to it!

Oh dear. I am long past that one. The next one is rushing up on me very fast. And for the very first time, in my new job, I feel it. Everyone is at least a decade younger than me, and I find that things I say baffle them, or they don't know what I'm talking about :? :(

Graon!
So true, Seashell
And Alice Cooper was a menace to the morals of young children, as was Chuck Berry
