Kings Road
Anybody know what's happened? Traffic was getting rerouted due to an accident.

I was in the industrial estate at 12pm, the 26 got redirected up Sir H's towards Asda, the police let thru an ambulance.
I've witnessed some shoddy driving there, folk ignoring the temp lights an accident almost happened in front of me.

Ive just noticed aswell that bus tracker is still saying buses are serving Portobello town hall stops, which infact they are not, well atleast werent a short time ago and when I spoke to the Police at work they said the road was going to be closed fr a couple of hours probably.
Isnt the point of bus tracker that it provides up to date information? Clearly not in this case, yet the system is able to do it.
Bus tracker, Town Hall Stop (21,19,42)

According to an intrepid reporter (my daughter and her dogs!) there was a white van surrounded by about 6 police cars and two ambulances at the King's Road end. Reports on radio still saying 'person found on road' and not 'RTA'. Road open now though apparently.
Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!

From today's Scotsman:
Meanwhile, police in Edinburgh found the body of another elderly man yesterday on waste ground.
Lothian and Borders Police said that the body was discovered in bushes between Sir Harry Lauder Road and Baileyfield Road at 11.30am by a motorist.
Roads were closed and a police cordon was set up.
The death was not being treated as suspicious and police appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
It was interesting to hear how lothian buses knew the road was closed due to the body.
Id have thought with them being a fairly significant public transport provider they would have links with the Police the same way that first do regarding sudden road closures in the Borders. The Polis gie the bus company a quick phone. But this it turns out is not the case in Edinburgh.
Lothian buses control centre found out by listening to forth 1. Thats why it took so long to organise the shuttle bus for Portobello passengers adn why the drivers had so much confusion.
