Holy crap - John Martyn is dead... How sad is that?

That is very sad indeed. I saw him many years ago, think it was the Playhouse. From what I recall he was out in the foyer selling albums an T-shirts at the intermission and at the end.

I saw him first at the Queen's Hall back in the late 1970's , but most recently in August 2005 when he played at the Morar Feis na Mara , in a wee tent to about 30 of an audience. His rendition of May You Never sounded just as sweet despite the intervening years. RIP.

So sad, Solid Air is one of the most played albums on my ipod. RIP
