On 9 August Marya made her 100th post and in doing so became veryimporty. Significantly, it also means that the top 10 posters have now all made 100 or more posts.
Here's the official Top 10
- 1. Bob - way out in front, portypotty to put it mildly (550)
2. Alex - literally in a class of his own - portyobsessed (244)
3. Bellybabe - top girl and veryimporty (192)
4. Epykat - prolific poster since Dec 03 (168)
5. Porty - phenomenal posting rate since June 04 (154)
6. Carla - has she run out of steam? (153)
7. wangi - has burst on to the scene since May 04 (152)
8. Gemini - regular contributor since May 03 (109)
9. ecm - posting since June 03 and still going strong (106)
10.Marya - completing the 'Gang of 4' Top 10ers (100)
Bubbling under
Watch Dadaist move up the charts - our tip for the top!

Interesting!
6 females v 4 males in the top ten but the two porty alpha males (Bob and Alex) slug it out for the leadership of the pack.
Is Bellybabe the new matriarch of the troupe??
If posting could stop wars then I reckon Carla came close to stopping Bliar's last little effort. She'll be back when she gets the feeling back in her typing fingers. Set a record of sorts for the number of consecutive posts without a reply.
My tips for the top - ecm who has increased her posting rate phenomenally in the last few weeks and poppy on the prom - these last two are monitoring the forum on behalf of a government agency apparently!!!

It would totally go against the grain for the artist formerly known as Surrealist but if his posts were accumulated he would be at number 2. In any case this is not a competition. Its a litlle fun.

Ha ha ha!
I only log on here as often as I do to interfere with Ali's plans to play Railroad Tycoon all night!
Anyone else have to share a PC with someone who plays "boys" (sorry, I know I'm being sexist) games for hours on end ???

Comrade Porty, your memory is defective. There is not, nor ever has been, a member of that name.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Ministry of Truth, should you require any further information on this matter.

Aaah, one of the disappeared. Its quite obvious whats going on. Surrealist still around no Marya in the Top 10. Its a Mods conspiracy even although there were no Mods at the time of the disappearance.
Seriously, what's the current daily posting rate, Bob?

C'mon then what was it and how are the after effects today? Is the M in a posting frame of mind?

A week later and the picture has changed:
1 Bob - holding steady in top slot (590)
2 Alex - still second, but under pressure (251)
3 Porty - up 2 places and averaging 10 posts a day (216)
4 Bellybabe - down 1 (214)
5 Epykat - down 1 (191)
6 wangi - leapfrogs the static Carla (171)
7 Carla - come back, all is forgiven (153)
8 Marya - up 2 places (137)
9 Dadaist - a new entry (135)
10 Gemini - slips 2 places (131)
ecm drops out of the chart as Porty continues his quest for board domination and Dadaist moves menacingly into 9th position.

Roy Castle said I had to have dedication - if I wanted to not only be the best, but beat the rest. Dedication was what I needed. Yeah.
So I'm trying to work out how to have another enjoyable spat with Porty, but one that means I get to post more than him. I haven't worked out how to do that yet.
If anyone has any ideas, please post them.

Well, just pick a subject, say something contentious, (but not flameworthy!) and we'll all join in, and that would put up your posts - mind it would put ours up as well, but - hey! - you can't have everything!

My memories of first fatherhood suggest that Dada should by this stage of neos life be seeking sleep. sleep and more sleep.
In October we'll be 4 yrs down that line and still desparately seeking sleep...
We have neighbours here with a baby (well, small child) can sleep for 4 hrs during the day and still sleep at night! We however breed babies who WILL NOT sleep for more than 20mins during the day and WILL NOT sleep at night so if you and beachbabe got yourself one of those, your absence is fully understandable!

Here's this week's chart:
1. Bob - still number one, but for how much longer? - 830 (753)
2. Porty - is there no stopping him? - 598 (410)
3. ecm - up 3 places again, what a star! - 521 (277)
4. Marya - up 1 to her highest ever place - 487 (280)
5. Bellybabe - slips 1 place - 419 (345)
6. Alex - crashes out of the house and out of the top 5 - 404 (350)
7. wangi - holding steady - 297 (256)
8. Epykat - still in the mix - 278 (232)
9. Dadaist - in the house, in Hungary and still posting - 237 (206)
10.Gemini - back in the Top 10 - 153
So Carla finally drops out of the chart. It all goes pear-shaped for Alex. Porty continues to gain ground on Bob, but the story of the week has to be the phenomenon that is ecm. Check those stats - 244 posts in one week! Not a pot has been washed, the kids have been taken away by Social Services but never mind because she is top girl and her performance in VES has been nothing short of astounding, shading even her best pal Marya. Ecm - we take off our collective hats to you!

she certainly does - just like her daddy. I'm often the only awake person in the house
seriously though, she's sleeping a good 8-9 hours at least overnight (loads better than the feeding every 2 hours at the beginning) although she's so nosy that she doesn't sleep much during the day

Major controversy in this week's chart as the deletion of the VES threads takes its toll on the former housemates:
1. Bob - just about breaks even - 831 (830)
2. Porty - still gaining ground - 660 (598)
3. Marya - regains third place but no longer potty- 413 (487)
4. ecm - loses out big time - 397 (521)
5. Bellybabe - stays top 5 - 393 (419)
6. Alex - relatively unscathed - 386 (404)
7. wangi - ditto - 305 (297)
8. Epykat - makes up ground - 302 (278)
9. Dadaist - treading water - 234 (237)
10. Gemini - under pressure - 164 (153)
Meanwhile, bubbling under, watch out for Jay, Sandra and Poppy and expect a flurry of posts once Mr Magnolia is back online.

It's neither wonder when you're faced with the prospect of drinking beers that are as much as 14% alcohol in a pub that stocks as many as 200 different bottled beers, each served in their own unique type of glass.
What an experience!
Oh, and I didn't disgrace myself at all. Now, there's a surprise for some of you, I'll bet!
