Lovely Village Show - Proud to be Porty!

Post by nickchild » 28 Sep 2009, 10:43

If I'm the first, I'm sure I won't be the last to say what a great and enjoyable event yesterday's Village Show was in Rosefield Park.

Well done all the organisers and organsations involved.

Well done Porty!

Nick

It was great, wasn't it? Not quite as sunny as last year's, but just as much fun and every bit as busy.

Think the tug'o'war involved every kid in Portobello!

A wonderful afternoon by all and very enjoyable. It really did have a village feel about it. 8)

And quite a few parents too!! Though the kids won that one, I think, and it wasn't just because the parents/dads were letting them!

It certainly wasn't.

It was because of the outrageously uneven numbers that can only be described as blatant cheating.

Pesky kids.

Maybe we should start a Porty Parent Protection from Pesky Progeny action group.

When our all-local family went on holiday together this summer, we only just managed to hold it together with a 6:4 majority of adults! But, like the tug o war, it sure was brilliant fun!
