Post by Bruce » 19 Aug 2004, 17:22

I had a dream last night in which I met a forum member, but I can't remember who it was. Maybe the person didn't actually exist and thats why I can't remember, I'm just not sure!

Crazy stuff!

As I amble along the prom. tomorrow, enjoying (I hope) the POD, I shall be keeping a jay-eye (can't keep an eagle eye) out for people spladooshing each other! I still have no idea how you do this, as I haven't a clue who anyone is. As I have lived in Porty and Joppa for ten years now, i may have known some of you for years!

It's so much more fun when you know them but they don't know you! I'm keeping myself well under cover so no spladooshing from me! 8)

I was about to bag someone I thought to be Bob during the week but chickened out as I thought the embarrassment of it not being him would be too much to handle.
This spladooshing/bagging is too potentially stressful methinks.

Wednesday afternoon, about 4.00pm, on the High Street, dressed kind of "sporty"?

That could be anyone. You'll have to do better than that if you're going to spladoosh me! You can't just accost any bloke on the High Street you know, or you'll get yourself a reputation.

Well, maybe you got the first two or three on the list but..ahem...I think the rest got you [-X
I could get you too Flearoy! But since I'm permanently under cover I won't  Oh, and bagging Bruce or Porty doesn't count for you I'm afraid!

I still haven't bagged anyone. Have no idea who anyone is - even though I know some of you live on the same street as me! - although I now meet people on the street and say hello....followed closely by thinking are you *******???

Heading towards paranoia now, thinking everyone is saying "Ha, ha, you're 'bearcub' but you have NO idea who I am!"

I haven't a clue who anyone is, either. :-k

Shopping in Scotmid is a whole new experience now, as I scrutinise everyone, and wonder ......

And is it my imagination, or do I perceive people scrutinising me, these days, and wondering .............?

But could someone please tell me the difference between bagging and spladooshing? Do you bag someone first and spladoosh them the second time ..... or at the same time ...... ???

I would guess its a weather dependant thing, Jay. If you happen to feel a bit moody too that would have an effect on the choice of method.

I shall try to be :D while I'm out and about, in case the urge to bag comes upon me ........... although I still don't know WHO to bag/spladoosh!

I'm going away early Friday, and not coming back till late Tuesday, so all Portypersons (Portista) had better look out this evening and tomorrow evening, as I shall have to bag and spladoosh then! :ogre:

(Work uptown, so can't during the day, although I know some of my colleagues are Portypeople and at least read this forum, even if they don't contribute!)

If I get arrested will you get up a campaign for the Portobello One?

You will if I get arrested for bagging and spladooshing in Porty High Street (or possibly Scotmid)! It'll be in the paper!

Was Bob in the Scotmid Post Office on Monday afternoon trying to send something by special delivery? I just wasn't 100% sure!

Not me. I'm back at work unfortunately, so there's little chance of bagging me during the day midweek. However, if you were to come along to Artefacts on Saturday afternoon there should (hopefully) be some excellent bagging opportunities. On the minus side you might have to do some work!

Tonight: World Exclusive!!! Porty Bagging Shocker - How the Jay Bird became the Jail Bird!
"It was my virtual friends' fault", sobs Portobello crook, jailed for wanton spladooshing in a public place. The rebel with the hourglass figure was arrested on thursday after blatantly exposing herself in the Portobello Scotmid, calling abusive words such as spladoosh, and threatening to "bag" local shoppers. She was escorted away, laughing maniacally, and was heard by one eye-witness to say "But it's true! I bagged you! I have all the points in the world!!! Hahahaha!!!" As she was put into the police car, she turned to our brave reporter and shouted a bizarre message - "Porty, I'm coming for you next!!!! And your little dog, no, I mean kids, too!"

Bellybabe - I access this at work, and I am NOT supposed to be laughing hysterically at my screen! (we need an emoticon for falling about hysterically laughing)

I just wish I could print it off! It's worthy of going up on my wall!

However, I am LEAVING TOWN! If I can get across the Border, I should be safe ............

Got spladooshed at 7 o'clock this morning by ecm and ali. Bizarrest thing ever: we've worked in the same place for over ten years and I have absolutely no idea who either of them is. More worryingly, ecm knew exactly who I am, while ali "had seen me in the canteen".

Time for a change of image.

I don't work there.

(Actually since taking delivery of my multi-tabbed doodah I pretty much don't work anywhere)

Is it still OK to use the forum?

Poor Alex,
There you were enjoying your music (what were you listening to before being so rudely spladooshed?), waiting for the bus and then there I was accosting you. You looked very surprised.
If I could've been bothered to get off the bus one stop early on my way back from Tesco tonight at about 6.00pm I could have spladooshed another male member who was walking along past the Blue Bean.
I'm on a roll folks - watch out!!
