Yellow house in Portobello

I was wondering if anyone knew the address of the BIG house that is yellow in Portobello

I just want the address could someone PLEASE help

Can you give us a little more to go on..? Is it on the beach? The High Street? Or am I being really dim and it should be REALLY obvious?

Hi Gordon,
Are you going to make an offer on it?

I reckon you're talking about the wee (ironic) development between Brunstane Burn and the Milton Road with it's private golf course.
Not sure if those houses are actually classed as Milton Road or not though.

I think the Yellow house does belong to KD and he is the owner of the 9 hole golf course behind it.
Don't know who own's the pink house with the thached roof, but they are both fantastic properties.

Do want want to ask why you want the address!?

Anyway two options come to mind, because I don't think anyone here knows it exactly:

1. Walk round there.
2. Lookup "Brunstane Mill Road" on the council planning portal and then using the very high res (i.e. it shows each house) map work out which house it is...

Gordon, the street those three big houses are on is called Milton Glen, However their addresses are Milton Road. I think the yellow one's address is:

244C Milton Road East
Edinburgh
EH15 2PG

The other two (inc. the pink one) are 244A & B.

Now if you use this info to mail them a burning envelope filled with excrement, then you didn't get it from me!

It's not Brunstane Mill Road, as that's made up of the big new houses built next to the Brunstane Burn (sandbags on/by the house). And, of course, Brunstane Mill Road is in Duddingston, as our estate agent chums DTZ will tell you

Its one of the most desirable streets in Portobello/Joppa. I remember about 12 or 13 years ago a whole house came on the market but it was riddled with dry rot. They had to take it off the market fix it then start again.

There hasn't been a sale there since then, mind you, theres only about 5 or 6 houses to the street. But what fabulous houses.

According to our dry rot surveyor (yep, we've had one of those as well!

) a vast amount of houses in Portobello will have dry rot. Something to do with the damp from the sea. It's awesome stuff. The beam holding up our whole roof was like a Crunchie!

Maybe we should have a local "Check for dry rot" day.
