wonder if anyone can suggest a gardener/handyman who can get rid of ivy - we have huge amount on the back of tenement and its getting out of control.

We are employing him to do a few jobs around the house. Good luck with your ivy. In my experience it's just about impossible to eradicate completely because it lives on underground and the root systems go on forever.
