We are currently 400 posts away from the 5000 mark, and at the current rate of posting that's probably only a month or so away. It's a landmark figure and I think we should mark it in some way.
Any suggestions?

Barbie on the beach..? Not that I'm actually prepared to organize it, you understand.
More seriously, I think the posts are celebration enough. There are some real friendships and social networks developing on and off the board, and it's surely only a matter of time till some sort of general meet-up.
But I think it's best for these things to evolve naturally, rather than force them. I'm thinking of our attempts to break the record for the most people viewing at one time. Less than successful! But then one day, when nothing was planned... 14 people simultaneously on a weekday evening.
