WARNING - non-football fans stay clear!

Post by bearcub » 27 Aug 2004, 17:01

Was wondering - just out of interest - which teams people on this forum support. Think that 1 team will run away with it but, as a Jambo in exile  , wondered how alone I was!!

And where the h*ll did 'Violin Concerto' come from

Obviously not quite got the hang of this poll thing yet! Had another team in there, but then had to delete it as too many options.......oh well, get a funny feeling that 'Violin Concerto' might well get a few votes from any non-football fans that wonder onto this thread

Word of explanation - violin concerto, in case you hadn't worked it out, is the team that play at Highbury. Up the Arsenal, as they don't say.

You'll be right there...

I was once in a football ground. Upton Park, to be precise. But there was no football going on -- it was a Billy Graham Crusade.

Man, but that guy can talk. One of the most electrifying speeches I've ever heard.

Didn't go down the front, though.

Now I see why Porty referred to himself and others on occasion as "Aztec Bars" - I know what wicked word has to be typed in to generate that result!

I swear too much I'm afraid. My favourite word comes out as a much more acceptable "jings"!

Thanks Dadaist! This will keep me amused for most of the evening.

Unfortunately it doesn't show the 'poll' when you hit preview, hence 'violin concerto'

Anyway, now away to find out now which word 'translates' to Aztec Bars

Go wash your mouth out with soap!
Hmm, a Heseltine.
Now there's a challenge. I never got a Heseltine. I must find out what that is.
