It on TV at the moment and ecm's avatar is out of synch, which is not the thrust of the topic.
I just don't get the attraction in the Tattoo, it baffles me how it sells out all of the time? Ive not been for Years but I remember being a kid and wishing that I could grow up and never go there again.
Am i wrong? Does anyone think that the Tattoo is top entertainment? They are playing the Bee Gees Tragedy how blinking appropriate is that?

I agree wholeheartedly Porty.
Nice rendition of the Lion Sleeps Tonight on at the mo. That's not nearly enough to counteract the awfulness of the Tattoo as an event though.

It's the Red Army crew now - God they know how to smile, don't they?
Love the kinky boots the girlies are wearing.

They are marching up and down. There's a porcupine shock. Why did they not just try a bit harder at school?

These ones are teasing the audience. Playing on the Spot for ages before they march up and down. Will they, won't they? The tension is tangible.
Like the tune tho.

Nope, never liked the Tattoo, although I have to be honest and say I only ever saw it on tv.

ECM hope you had a nice birthday, please accept my humble apologies. It is the big night tonight on BBC 1 and I was looking forward to our annual tattoo review. Disaster has struck. My home pc is broken and I do not have access to a room with a TV and a PC so i will have to step down. You will have to find a new Dan Maskell for your Virginia Wade.

I had a lovely birthday, thanks.
If I can get Dan to stop playing his Tony Hawk skateboarding game for long enough I might get a chance to make one or two observations on the Tattoo later on.
And I prefer to think of us as Terry Wogan and Katie Boyle, if you don't mind.
