Oh we are!

Our last local fireworks outing - we've forced the kids to sleep earlier in the pm so they can stay up and are just putting on their PJs before heading out onto Bruntsfield links for a grandstand view (albeit from the back of the castle)

Have fun!

Bit of a washout last night. We normally get a reasonable view of the aerial fireworks from our windows but there was absolutely nothing to see and only a few muffled thuds and bangs to be heard.
Were things any better up your end of Town Mr M.?

We usually get a great view from our kitchen window but nothing this year. Did Forth broadcast it again?

They usually do, don't they?
Yes, we usually get a good view too although there was a really nice atmospheric glow around Arthur's Seat and the silhouette of St. Johns. Not sure if that was just because of the weather or if the fireworks hidden within the clouds caused it.

Wet and cloudy with lots of noise, nothing much to see and a bit of "daddy this too noisy for me" from the wee one in the buggy. Biggest thrill was the arrival of the Fire Engine to hose down (in the rain) the brazier set up on the links by some enthusiastic fire raisers. We've had some brilliant shows over the years but sadly last night was not one of them.

Thats a shame Mr. M. but you can always return to the old homestead in the years to come for hopefully more spectacular shows than this last one.
