Is tragically young for someone as vibrant, intelligent and succesful as Brian Clough to pop his clogs. I have heard some great anecdotes about him and some not so great. Altogether I feel saddened by the loss.

Yeah, Cloughy was one of the game's real characters. Self-opinionated, wonderful accent and diction - he was a joy to behold and, I'm quite sure, an absolute fishcake to work for. He was always being touted as 'the next England manager' and who knows what could have been achieved if he had got the job.

Cloughy certainly deserved a knighthood more than certain sour-faced egomaniacs I could mention! :evil2:
