intercoms

Post by prombabe » 26 Sep 2004, 18:48

I think intercoms should be fitted on every front door that leads to a stairwell or vennel as it is known and it should be the councils responsibility to protect residents from unwanted scum eg;junkies being able just to walk into a stair. Although saying that residents also have to take responsibility for making sure the door stays shut.
Stick to what you know then you'll never become unstuck

And that's where it all falls flat! Our door only closes by itself when there is no hint of a breeze. If it's even a wee bit windy you have to physically push it until it clicks. This was the very reason I had my little altercation with the scum of the area a couple of weeks ago.

Our door doesn't actually have a lock in it :|
But i agree it should be sorted - or at very least information or a service that would help manage services. (ie - i could go about everyone in the stair to try and get them to agree to getting it fixed but then i would have that responsibility and also the responsibility of getting the money off everyone which invaribly will never work out). I am sure there probably are stair management companies - i just have no information on them.
