....but aren't moving that far.
We're off to Duddungston, or the Durhams, depending on who's asking.
Those of you who know us will know where our current property is (on Marlborough Street).
Especially Epykat. What with us having bought this flat off her in 1999 and everything.
Thanks for the lovely decor katster. And the hardwearing carpet has served our brood well.

And for those of you who may be interested in buying Dadaist and Bellybabe's flat,
here is the link. Well, it would be nice to keep it in the forum, wouldn't it? And I believe that mortgages can be obtained locally at very competitive rates.
How about a discount for forum members Porty?

Thats an unfortunately extreme reaction to Clan Magnolia's arrival - I hope its not a spladooshing evasion tactic. Good luck with the sale etc though. Perhaps you should be on guard against hordes of touristing POLers at viewing time....

Maybe I should set aside a separate time for "POL tourists". That way I can hide the breakables and the alcohol.
Maybe I shouldn't have been so argumentative in my time here. Cos now you all know where I live!!!

Hey, look at that!
I didn't even know we lived together, and now we're moving! Honestly, communication round here must be really bad.

Yes wangi, we do hang with the Deanster. What of it, apart from the Jambo thing?

We ended up using him too when selling both our flats and buying the house. It was a funny setup because we weren't using Deans for the estate agency side of things. It was when Deans' secretary phoned me up to say I'd sold the flat, I said "but who are you".
Folk we were dealing with hadn't thought of telling us they were hiving off the legal side...
And, yeah, there's a few nice Tynie pics in his office. You'll need to get all the latest info on him selling his shares

I guess he'll be in Braga tonight.

If only it was within my power. All I can do is offer a guarantee that you will not pay more than you need to and not fall foul of the dirty tricks perpetrated by the Sc... Lenders.
Good luck to the Dada's.
See there is another house up for sale in Brighton Place and the one in WBC has lowered the offers over by £40,000

The WBC one isn't being sold through the ESPC, is it?
How much are they asking for it?
Megabucks, I imagine.

Mind you, I wonder if the owner took some of the photos

- especially as it seems unlikely the photographer would be there to take that lovely sunset photo?

Dadaist, I didn't know you lived so near, just down the road in fact!
Good luck with the sale and your new home.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the WBC?

Firstly, these threads that get elongated for some reason get on my nerves.
Yes its West Brighton and the abode in question was o/o £485,000 but now £445,000. Dadapartment looks a snip.

A flat and it went pretty quickly !
It did. Simply because it was L'oreal. Wait til they find out about the neighbours.
I believe the one beside the bridge went for £250,000. A lot of house for the money tho.

What a waste of land all these bungalows around Edinburgh are. The first thing any new owner does is convert the attic space (if they can). Why didn't the developer just build two storey houses in the first place?

In the 30's the governement introduced tax breaks for developers who were prepared to build accomodation for the personality impaired.

When I (in a very rare moment of non activity you understand) look out of the 6th floor windows at school to the (ex) bungalows round and about it always reminds me of the elephant man. It's as if they're all growing bits that don't belong, sort of morphing into some strange looking excuse for a house

Some of them have been done quite sympathetically and look okay but other ones just look awful with bits sticking out here there and everywhere.

Well when I opened the thread I had to scroll miles sideways to read the text. I think its something to do with picture posting. It can stretch the visage. Seems to have sorted itself.

I've met the people who bought that house - their wee girl was at St John's nursery but is moving to Tower Bank. They got the keys today. She hadn't said what they paid for it, of course, but has said the amount of work it needs doing is rather depressing now that they've actually got it.
Still, worth it when it's done, i guess.

I did think twice about stating the price, not because of privacy, as that info is public knowledge these days, more because I got the info second hand-albeit from the oracle.

Thanks for the interest in the shot(s) - They were taken by me - although our solicitor is keen - I suspect a 7.00 am start would be asking a bit much of them.
..........and as for being wasted in that job - I work for the Council so I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions.
