Bodybalance needs you!!!

Post by bellybabe » 11 Oct 2004, 10:19

Please, please, please can some people come to the Bodybalance class at Porty pool on tuesdays at 10.45?

It was quite a popular class when they ran it from January to April, but they then decided to arbitrarily cancel it. I fought that decision and won, getting it reinstated, but now nobody is coming except me!

If anyone is free, and wants to get fitter/more toned, do come along. It's a mixture of Pilates, yoga and tai chi moves, and is very strengthening.

Please come along, or persuade anyone else you know who might like it to come along - the creche is available for it too if you call up and book them...

You promise it's not too sweaty or exerting then? :?

...and why are you writing in PINK!!!! Are you in league with Porty? Is it a plot?

It's not too sweaty but it is pretty exerting...

And I like pink things - the pink triangle (actually black triangles are more my thing), the pink pound (of which I have none), pink parents (of which I am no longer a member)...so guess it's not that true then...

Well, i'm wearing pink, anyway.

I was at my first Bodybalance class yesterday morning. I think there were around seven of us - 5 female, 2 male. I haven't done any kind of exercise class for a long time, so I found it hard going. It's not an aerobic type thing, so it's not tiring, but I was being asked to stretch muscles that haven't been stretched for some time and that hurts!

I'm rather concerned at my lack of flexibility (please insert smart comment here) so although it wasn't exactly an enjoyable experience I kind of feel that this is exactly what I should be doing. For those of you who work through the day, the class is on a Tuesday and Wednesday evening, as well as a Sunday morning.

For ladies and gentlemen of leisure, you can join Bellybabe on a Tuesday morning and there's also a class on Thursday morning.

I love the whole body____ franchise thing. Combat, Step, Pump and now Balance.

Work it girlfriend - go for the burn! Huuh!

I was at my bodyslump class the other day. I didn't exercise muscles I knew I had.

Did anyone else make it along today? Sorry I was a no-show, but today was more a "cup of coffee and an asprin" day rather than a "jumping around to loud music day"

Well, I'll accept all your feeble excuses this once  , but tell all your friends! (Especially the ones you don't like, then make sure and meet them the next day to watch them suffer  .)

No seriously, though, it's really really good for you, it's not high impact, it's toning, and the pain subsides by the third class... It strengthens dodgy bits like the lower back, stretches you out so you're taller, and it's relaxing too.

I was all set for it this morning after an hour of Step (no, sorry - it was in fact frachised Bodystep) but nobody came :( . I had to limp back down the stairs and trudge away home. The nice lady on reception promised to come next week though...

Please bully, cajole, whatever it takes, but get people to come to my class. Go on, do it for me O:) ...or I might have to sort you out. :naka:

Well of course - look how toned those muscles are!
You too could look like me. For those of you who haven't met me, imagine that emoticon in a belly dance costume and you've got it.

I admire the honesty of your marketing. It's crazy, but it just might work!
