Get creative

Post by Gedge » 14 Oct 2004, 08:37

Anyone know anything about "Get Creative" opening opposite the Pitz? Looks more interesting than the replacement printer cartridge shop in the High Street.

Actually, I though that looked quite useful!

But you can see into the shop from the top deck of the 26 and it looks like they've changed their plans - it's stuffed with racks of greetings cards.

I bet Khalid is doing Cartridges and Cards. Lets face it you can't merchandise Printer Cartridges. Would not be surpised if he throws in a sunbed session too.

Khalid Mir the well known Porty Shopkeeper, he used to own Porto News and variousl other businesses. The cartridge business is his families project. Thankfully I talked him of calling it "Cartridge-in-a-Porty"

ECM - You don't think 'Cartridge in a Porty' is a pun on 'Partridge in a Pear Tree' do you? Surely it can't be that bad! :pukeright:

Sorry to read that Get Creative was broken into recently. It's a welcome addition to the High Street and the owners didn't deserve this.
Officers take four hours to answer shop burglary call
I also understand the owner's anger and frustration at how long it took the police to respond, but the fact is that where a crime takes place in relation to where the nearest police station is situated is pretty much irrelevant. Your call goes to Bilston Glen, it is given a grading and it is dealt with as quickly as possible within the time-frame for that grade, depending obviously on how many other jobs of a higher priority are on the go.

Its a shame indeed for Mrs Amato. I think GC have been very unlucky,as a fellow Porty shop owner, I have to say that there doesn't appear to be many incidences of burglary.
As for the hr delay? I may be at odds with many people on this subject but the crime in question sounds like very low priority in the scheme of things (I accept the victims will feel differently) People's expectations can be very unreasonable when it comes to emergency services.
To inject a little humour into the situation: wouldn't it be good if she is married to Tom? We could then put her in the "I don't believe it" thread. :D
