Making Contact!

Post by Benny » 08 Nov 2004, 10:01

Hello All,

I recently got a message from Friends Reunited telling me about the Porty Website.

Having lived in Porty from 1954 to 1976, I was of course interested to have a look. I left Edinburgh in 1985 and lost contact with a friend through a number of circumstances, but I got a big surprise seeing him on the Home page of the Porty site.

So, to cut a long story short, if anyone knows how to get in touch, or if anyone could pass on a message, can you let Bob Wardrop know that 'BENNY' would like to get in touch.

Cheers

Hi, Benny! Welcome to the forum. It's good to hear that the forum may help you get in touch with your friend - good luck with that. I'm sure some-one can help :D

I'm sure one of us can pass your message on Benny. Bob, for example , sees Bob Wardrop fairly often due to his Neighbourhood Watch, Community Council, East Edinburgh Crime Prevention Panel (I think that's what it's called..) etc. meetings.

Many Thanks,

I think Bob will respond and it will be good to go over old times. (Hmmm Maybe?)

Anyway, I was at Porty High from 1966 to 1972. I am just starting to wade through the pages of the Forum and trying to piece together who is who, or who could be who, from the signature names and from the comments. Its great fun as a puzzle to ponder.

Thanks again,

Cheers

Ooops!

Just to clarify, I didn't know Bob W from Porty. He's not from these parts!
