Police Horses on the beat in Porty ?

Does anyone know if the two mounted police officers in Portobello tonight are training or actually on the beat ? They have gone up my street a few times and there has been quite a lot of teenagers running around.

but they were mounting an assault on the swimming bath steps when i went by about 50 mins ago and theres beena lot of shouting outside just now?

Our doggie sized poo bags certainly won't do though
