Has anybody actually ever seen this in the shops or is it some kind of wind up?

Have to say the first time this advert appeared I thought it was a sketch on a comedy show......then realised it was an actual advert, perhaps :-k

The Cillit BANG ad is apparently part of a £5million campaign by German company Reckitt Benckiser, who also make the disinfectant Dettol.

The ad is truly awful but, by God, have you ever seen such shiny coins!!

When I was wee I remember something on the telly about this posh hotel in the states which cleaned it's guests' change for them - they had this big machine which you put your change in, together with some ball bearings and some pink buffing gel - and out came shiny coins.

I remeber gawking at the telly and simultaneously thinking that it was a dead clever idea, that it must be a really posh hotel to do that for its clients and how cool I would be if I had a wallet full of freshly buffed coinage.
