Shop fronts

Post by DG » 26 Nov 2004, 10:46

Carlos on the High Street has just had it's shop front done. Looks much better, not that it obviously needed changing - although the neon sign was a bit on the bright side. Looks great now - well done to them :D

DG,
I just noticed Carlo's new frontage this morning too as I waited for the bus to Muss. It does look v. nice and must have been done fairly quickly as I don't recall it looking like that when I was in a few nights ago. It's the same (or very similar) type of finish and signage as Costcutters have now.

Ecm, it could be the same shop fitters as they are similar. It just took them the last week and I think the finishing touches were done yesterday.

Had a wee blether with one of the nice ladies from Carlo's as she was out lovingly washing down their nice, new windowsills. It was a Glasgow firm who did the work for them and they're very pleased with it.
It does look very smart.

I agree - walked past a short time ago just as it was getting dark and the sign looks so much better than before

Just hope all this spending on improvements doesn't affect the price of my beloved doner kebab!

Haven't tried that one yet, Teddygirl. I just can't seem to get past the traditional option. Carlo's kebabs are a real treat as far as I'm concerned.

The Milton Fry does a lovely white pudding and, of course, there's always Carlo's delivery service if you get homesick BB.
