Portobello's favourite books
We are a small group of local people who are organizing Portobello's first Book Festival on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th October 2009. We are fortunate to have the enthusiastic support of the library in this venture. Programmes will be available soon. We would like as many people as possible to be involved in Portobello's first book festival, so what can you do? Apart from supporting the events, you can join in our search to discover Portobello's favourite books.

Portobello's favourite books involves a survey of local reading habits to be carried out in Portobello pubs and hairdressers, schools and amongst local groups of all kinds.
All you have to do is complete the attached short form and drop it into Portobello library at 14 Rosefield Place or email to Joyce.Campbell@edinburgh.gov.uk. You can complete it as a group, as an individual, or even as a gang. Portobello library staff will be happy to help you with the form if you wish.

What we want to know is:

1. What kind of books do you like reading most? e.g. Science fiction, romance, thrillers, detective novels, classics etc

Results will be announced at the Book Quiz on 10th October at the Dalriada and Published in the Portobello Reporter.
