I just read about this in the Evening News tonight, and was quite pleased that something was proposed, but wondered why I hadn't heard a peep about it, being a library user, wanderer along the High Street and hingeraboot waiting for my Towerbank child. Where was this proposed and discussed, and are there more meetings and discussions pending? Or is it just another big 'maybe' ?

The idea was first presented at the "Imagine Portobello" event in late October, to which every household on the Porty Reporter run (12,300) was invited and which was extensively advertised around Portobello. Around 200 people attended the event. If the initial bid is selected to go through to the next stage, then development money will be awarded which will be used to carry out more extensive consultation, amongst other things.
