HMO Ardblair house, 1 Duddingston Crescent

Post by Maria » 28 Aug 2007, 10:22

Currently run as a guest house, there is an application for a licence to run a 'house in multiple occupation' which will be considered by a special sitting of the council's Regulatory committee in October.

A local meeting for residents who object to the proposal is taking place on 3 September at Portobello Town Hall at 7.30 p.m.

(Cllr. Child has requested that the committee's decision be informed by the minute of this meeting.)

Has there been any update to this issue?

If so can anyone tell me what is happening?

Eck, this is from Maureen Child's latest newsletter issued 27 September:
Ardblair House
At the time of writing no date has been set for the special Regulatory Committee of the Council to hear the applicant and objectors to the bid to open Ardblair House, 1 Duddingston Crescent, as a licensed establishment for temporary accommodation for homeless people. I will let those most interested know the date as soon as I have it. The Councillors who will have to determine this will have a minute of the meeting I arranged among Council homeless officers, objectors and applicant in early September.

Thanks for that.

Not overly chuffed at this proposal at all.

That's a poor result. Not happy about this at all.
