A quick plug, if I may, for the Portobello Online local business directory. The directory was set up several years ago to promote local businesses. A listing costs just £20 per annum and represents great value. The revenue helps to cover hosting and promotion costs and enables us to continue to develop the site, so it's a win-win situation.
Currently, over 200 local businesses are listed on the directory. The latest addition is ecool designs based in Bath Street.
The ethos of ecooldesigns.com is unique designs that inspire. Our passion is contemporary and innovative furniture and accessories that complement your modern living space.

Their address is 12 Bath Street. I was brought up in 12 Bath Street - the only furniture showroom then was my Mum's front room!

Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!

I'm amazed by how many businesses are run from home in Portobello. The High Street traders are really just the tip of the iceberg.

Now if we could just get some of the shops ot stay open past six in the evening, I might have a chance to use them in the evening! Most of them close just as I get home from work...
