Portobello Question Time Hustings

Portobello is having its own Question Time style hustings meeting, organised by the Community Council, on Wednesday 28 April in Portobello Town Hall from 7-9 pm.

COME ALONG AND GRILL THE CANDIDATES!

If you wish to submit a question, please do so by Saturday 25 April by e-mailing portobellocc@googlemail.com or portycc@me.com, or by placing a question in the box in the library.

I knew who I was going to vote for anyway, but it helped my wife decide, so it helped at least one person.

It was a shame to see the Lib Dems candidate speaking passionately about the evil of Trident, and why the Lib Dems wouldn't seek to replace it. Then George Kerevan pointed out that the Lib Dems wanted to keep Trident, and the Lib Dems candidate looked shocked, saddened and not a wee bit embarassed... I think she'll learn to know her policies before going up against an experienced speaker!

I thought the Lib Dem girl did really well. At least she was articulate, calm and coherent..............unlike some of the others :roll:
