Agreed. For example,someone with a microphone commenting on the proceedings might have helped make it a bit more exciting for those of us removed from the action.

I made exactly that point yesterday, so hopefully the organisers will take it on board. I think the event needs an MC to let people know what is happening. And how about a video camera that is able to zoom in on what is happening out there and relaying the pictures back to a big screen on the Promenade? Sounds ambitious perhaps but I think it could be done.
