The stripey windsock at the foot of Bath Street has tangled itself up and isn't blowing freely. If anybody knows the arty folk, can u ask them to sort it out. I'm very fond of it!

We spotted that earlier on too, Granty.
They'll need to go look for a big stick or something to free it up . Or wait for the wind to pick up and blow it back out.

Thanks, Dada.
I shall now have the strangest images racing through my mind when next I see the socks flapping proudly in a stiff breeze.

The sock at Bellfield Street was like the Bath Street one a day or so ago, but is now OK - however, whether it was Nature or Man who fixed it, I do not know.

I'm keen to keep the 'socks' as a regular feature. I like them and when i look out the window, i can tell whether it's worth taking my newspaper down to the beach - with my mug of wine - or just taking extra wine!

Yes I like them too, any chance they will become a permanent feature?

Yes I have become very fond of the socks too especially the one along my end of the prom , I like to check it out first thing every morning.
It would be super if they were to become a permanent feature, but I'm sure I heard/read that they are only on loan for a couple of months.

Heard today that the Porty Windsocks have only been granted a temporary licence, which means they might only be there until the end of October. Pity!

Well done Poppy -
If we don't get any good news from Big Things on the Beach perhaps we could start up a campaign to Save our Socks

It might be a bit chilly if we chain ourselves to the poles.....

I too like looking at the windsocks when I walk along the Prom in the morning. Maybe the one at the bottom of Bath Street, which is rolled in on itself, is representing local industry after all! It's knackered!

Justice delayed is justice denied.

Good idea - maybe we should ask how much five second hand wind socks would cost

- we could start fundraising

Maybe the RBoS could make the first contribution?

The artists have been informed about the condition of the windsock at the foot of Bath St so I hope they will get it sorted soon.

Crikey! That was quick.
Did someone shimmy up the pole in the dark to fix it?

How phsychic [sp?] of you, Lizzie!!
Received this this afternoon from Maggie, the secretary of BTOTB:
Thanks for your positive comments on Progressions - we hope that we can keep them up longer, and possibly until they begin to deteriorate. We are so pleased with all the positive comments that we have received.

Think they're starting to look a bit past it now - colours not quite as clear as they were.

Inevitable I suppose - weather beaten !!
I wonder how much it would cost just to replace the windsocks when necessary

That would be brilliant though don't see it happening.
