I was sorry to hear of the recent death of Sandy Smith. Sandy was a long-serving member and ex-chair of Portobello Community Council but is probably best remembered for his leading role in the Melville Music Hall Company.

I will remember Sandy as a lovely, charming guy and a true gentleman.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Portobello Community Council, Sandy was asked to cut the cake.
