Olympic Torch Route

Post by Makaveli » 19 Mar 2012, 19:26

I see that the Olympic torch route has been released and that it is going past the top of Brunstane Road on the 14th June.

I'll break out of my "couldn't give a f..." attitude about the Olympics :sleepy2: just to add it looks like between Duddingston and the bottom of Milton Rd it is "in convoy", rather than somebody actually running with it?

See the map here

So if you want to see anything either Duddingston Village 08:15 to the Duddingston Park crossroads; or from bottom on Milton Rd at 08:36... Unless you go with the times in the PDF; then it's 07:45 and 08:06. Bugger that for a game of soldiers! 8)

Come on min it's the Olympics - how often are we going to see an event like the Olympic flame being carried past so close to us?

I am nae the biggest Olympics fan but think this is pretty cool and think this should be supported by us.
