This is one of Edinburgh's paradox, cheek by jowl are very wealthy areas with some of the most deprived. Muirhouse and Barnton, Duddingston and Craigmillar, Juniper Green and Wester Hailes.

Not really cheek by jowl. London does cheek by jowl. Edinburgh has ghettos.

You noticed the big red area off the corner at Craigmillar Castle Road/Old Dalkeith Road?
