New Cinema

Good news that the planning committee has ignored the advice of the planning officials and given the go ahead for a new cinema at Fort Kinnaird.

Just another item for PAVED to object to. The PCC were in discussions with Ocean Terminal etc as regards objections. So here's to JS, SH and DC etc screaming holy blue murder.

You are kidding Sceptic? What on earth could be the grounds for objection?

Eh?! Just noticed this. Where did you get your info Sceptic, because you have been mislead ?

Ocean Terminal approached the PCC and asked to make a presentation to the last PCC meeting, which was agreed. The PCC also then invited representatives from Fort Kinnaird along for balance, although the Fort Kinnaird developers had been in consultation with the PCC for some time and the PCC had already made its support for the new developments clear.

The Ocean Terminal representatives certainly wanted the PCC to object, but at no point did any PCC members suggest that we do so. On the contrary, the PCC have actively supported the developments at Fort Kinnaird.

At least this is another instance where the elected Planning Committe have overturned the recommendations of the Planning Department... I love it when that happens
