Bellybabe, ecm ....
A lady got on the 26 at Piershill this morning, reading a paperback edition of 'The Feud at the Chalet School'.
I refrained from cheering, or accosting her, but I thought you might like to know that there are more of us out there. It's possible you may know her BB, if she goes to meetings. 'Feud' is one I've never read, sadly. Isn't it the one where St. Scholastica's arrive?

No, the Scholastika one is Rivals. Where Joey gets involved in yet another near-fatal accident!
Feud is one of the much later Switzerland ones.
But brave woman, to read it in public! I made the mistake of reading one on a plane to Cairo once and the Texan chap next to me saw this as a way in to conversation (about schoolgirl fiction - bizarre) that he kept up for hours

. I would have taken the sign of a book in hand to mean someone wanted to read. Is that just me?
All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt!

Ah - need to try and find it! Maybe she got it out of Piershill Libray!

Nope - it's Americans! Chatty and friendly, but not clued up to the subtelties of social interaction! The same thing has happened to me several times!

Well, that's 3 of us - plus 1 interested - in Portobello - maybe we should start a Portobello chapter of the Edinburgh branch!
