For those who like to plan their weekends a little bit ahead - a quick reminder about the St Andrews Night ceilidh dance at the Town Hall on Saturday 27th November. The band is Bella McNab's, complete with dance caller. There will be a bar, and snacks too. All profits will be going to the Campaign against the Superstore. Tickets are currently available (price £7/ £5 concession) from Portobello Stationers on the High Street.

Will definitely try to get along to that! The last one was absolutely fantastic (apart from maybe Porty's drunken appearance and also Mr Epykat's rather tired and emotional attempts at the eightsome reel!). Beware! You will be knackered til the next again Thursday

Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!

eightsome reels are a nightmare! They should be banned at all public functions, or danced at an earlier stage in the proceedings, when the faculties have some chance of working...
sadly, its beginning to look as though the still awaited late arrival of the third magnoliette may prevent the public appearance of the magnolian tartan

GT, glad to hear you had a good time. Unfortunately, we didn't make it along. We were babysitting until mid evening and then too tired out to jig! Sounds like it went well though.

Yes, it was a fantastic night. A big thank-you to all who attended and made it such a great evening and an even bigger thank-you to the fantastic Bella McNab's Dance Band who offered this ceilidh as a fundraiser to PCATS. We raised a grand total of £1030.

Had a great time again! Made even more fun by the couple who knew what they were doing and who were getting
very ratty with those of us who didn't (not apologising if it was anybody on here cause it only served to make it even funnier

) And was well spladooshed by a couple of people (lurkers also!)
