London was great, by the way.
The flat had a balcony looking out onto the Tower Bridge and the "Gherkin" building and we could see Canary Wharf on the other side. Tube station was right by the Tower of London.
The flight down on Friday was delayed due to fog so I lost 3hrs of shopping time, but still managed to do Covent Garden, Selfridges and Harrods. These places make our Jenners look like a wee corner shop.
I saw the Diana and Dodi 'shrine' - couldn't believe people were having their photo taken next to it - tacky!
I am much poorer than when I went down and my feet were killing me with all the walking but it was a nice trip.
The plane flew over Portobello on the way back - that building at the foot of Bath Street sticks out like a sore thumb (or Dadaist's finger) but makes a very effective landmark!

Anyone passing may have noticed that our tree was very, very squint
Due to Mr E's mushy head it remained squint for much of the day until I wrestled with it for 10 minutes and forced it into submission. I'm now covered in artificial snow and almost lost both my eyes on separate occasions. However, feel free to gush over it if you will coz it now looks rather lovely
Enough of your nonsense - get back to the Play Pen!
Not Friday yet but we are getting in the mood for tomorrows office party.

Wasn't it the song about sitting watching the flowers in the rain, blah blah, feeling the power of the rain making the garden grow...?
Too young to know who it was though

I always thought it was about a specialised lifting tool that raised Grocers who had fell down, to a level where they could be repaired.ecm wrote:
"Grocer Jack, Grocer Jack is it true what Mummy says you won't be back - oh no no." I loved that song as young girl - no idea what it was all about though.
No?
Thanks Porty - praise indeed from thePorty wrote:Foxy wins and near miss by Lizzie who's smiley containment deserves special mention.
Hope you and POP enjoy your party tomorrow and try if possible not too drink too much
I remember one of your "Office Parties" many, many years ago - I got so drunk I fell down the stairs
If my memory serves me well
How old would you be, if you didn't know how old you are?

Can't make sense of the song lyrics so it might well be as you state above.
