Kennels

Can anyone suggest a good kennels in the area/surrounding area? We have to put Bess in for a couple of days in April. Recommendations gratefully received. Thanks.

What about the Dog and Cat Home! believe they take boarders.

The Cat and Dog home do take boarders as I know some people who use them and are quite happy. Only problem is they do not take the dogs for walks.
Haven't personally used any kennels for several years as I've been fortunate enough to have good friends who always look after Freddie for me.
I'll ask around for any other suggestions.

why not ask at your vets? They should be able to recommend somewhere. Some vets even board animals for short periods.

I was also going to suggest asking at the vets on the High Street. I would have loved to have helped you out but unfortunately my cats are now too old to cope with dogs in the house - 15 and 16yrs old. The last time a dog visited, Kitty, the youngest, didn't come out from under the bed for quite some time

Troy's always been to the cat and dog home; it does bother us that he gets no exercise there, but otherwise he seems to cope with it and it's actually very cheap. They get booked up over school hols quite quickly though so if you want to go with them I'd check it out soon/check your dates aren't school hols (schools go back April 11th).

Honeymoon, by any chance?

unreservedly recommend the cat and dog home, the dogs don't get walked but they do get a run around, the staff absolutely love animals and the boarding supports their admirable task of taking care of pets that the owners can't be bothered with.

Thanks for the recommendations we got Bess in Kennels (Milrig) near Kirknewton. The lady who runs it just loves dogs (and Bess will be spoilt rotten) and its only just over Ã‚Â£6 a day.
