Take 1/2 lb of Findlay's smoked Ayrshire middle bacon and fry in olive oil until crispy, along with a few quartered organic mushrooms and a handful of small vine-grown tomatoes (available from Scotmid). Cut into sections a baguette from Kitchener's Deli. Serve with mugs of tea.

We went out for lunch. Should have been great, but the children acted as though possessed by the devil, the waiter, who's a friend of ours, was hungover and consequently not his usual sunny self, and the food was dull....

But have you tried HADDOCK fish fingers. Haddock fillets. Not to be confused with the reformed cod which parents feed to their children. They are also a bit more expensive.

I rather enjoy a mixed salad with Avocado's - tip from my japanese friend : drizzle a little oil , add some freshly ground black pepper - then sprinkle with soya sauce - very nice!

I think us people who live in Portobello would appreciate a good restaurant, do you think someone might sometime take a gamble?

I love going into town to restaurants/bars but it would be nice to have a really good restaurant/bistro in Porty because when you work in town you sometimes just want to chill out about home at the weekend.
