apparently there is going to be a controlled explosion on a bus in princes st - here is a webcam, i'm sure there are others :

Really brings the events in London even closer to home.

A while after taking this shot I was interviewed by the Thai national TV station... Guy asking me for my reaction on the events in London, if terrorism should now be the main issue for the G8 (no, lets not forget the fight against poverty), protests, etc etc.

I had to tell him about the bomb scare going on just now, just down the road...

The package is on board a Lothian Transport bus. A police spokesman said a bomb disposal team would carry out a controlled explosion.

crikey ifstar, you tell me to stop talking to you, accuse me of hijacking threads and then post in one i started - amazing!!!

it's probably for the best that wangi didn't get any pics of the explosion because judging by your track record of analysing violent photos you would

(i) think it was the bomb disposal guy who planted the original device

(ii) think that wangi was a terrorist

7:30 last night get a call from Flearoy who is still working in the G8 call centre. "Dad can you pick me up at 8 when i finish, they are blowing a bus up on Princes street" i thought, my she is geting creative, then found out it was true.
