It has become apparent from many recent posts that there are a lot of Portobello High Parollees out there. Now is the time to confess all. Which House were you in?
I will start it off and let you know that I was in CRICHTON. I was in CG1 and my House Mistress was Miss Watt.

I was in Abercorn House at the time when Cubby and Miss Marshall were in charge but can't remember any more than that.

Hey Bruce,
Are you going into 5th or 6th year? How many results are you waiting to hear about.
It's a bit sad/scary to think that I did my Highers at Porty over 10 years before you were born. Hope you did better than I did with exams!

I was in Greyfriars. But then we had different Houses (pronounced "Hyses") at Heriots.
Our houses were Greyfriars, Lauriston, Castle and Raeburn. I must have been there about 4 years before the thought occurred to me that they were named after nearby things.

Bruce,
I sat 5 highers too. I only got one though.
In olden times if you just missed passing the Higher grade they awarded you a Complimentary 'O' Level to make you feel better about being a failure.
I am the proud owner of 11 'O' Levels (4 being Comps)

results just in, A for geography, B for music, B for Craft and design and C for english.
They ran that comp system up until last year when they scraped it and added a new grade called a D, but who wants one of them.

Well done Bruce! Can't wait to see you back next week resplendent in your braid!

I was in
Duddingston House (hooray!!) I was Vice Captain (or was that Captain of Vice?) and am proud (if not a little embarrassed) to admit that I still have my badge - although I only wear it on special occasions, sort of like Prince Philip and his medals.

I was in Crichton, Mrs Davidson was my group tutor. I have very fond memories of the interhouse competitions at the end of the school year. I remember the music comps because when you entered the songwriting event you could play in a rock band and wear something resembling your own clothes.
When I nod my head, you hit it!

And Duddingston for me as well, when Mr. Weisley was too young to ever be considered for such high office.
I have nothing to say and I'm going to say it.

I was in Abercorn all those years ago!!! ( amazing how good my memory can be!!!)
Class 1b1, register teacher was Miss Thompson who we had for French.
2nd year it was Mr. Trotter and 3rd year it was Mr. Henriksen, quite fancied him!!!
Left school after that,so didn't sit any levels!!!

Well, I wasn't overly fond of school, so left and got myself a lovely job working with animals
