Don't worry ecm, for I have just been working on "Neigh Lass - Jackson Priest Does Horses", in which you will hear Jackie's theme tune to the aforementioned White Horses, as well as other cheval-themed tunes, such as Ride My Pony, Crazy Horses, um, Horses, and probably lots of other songs with the word horse in the title in order to stretch this already thin idea even thinner. But I know what you're thinking, and you're right - it will be ideal listening for the Gymkhana crowd, a section of society to whom we must make Radio Free Porty more tempting.

This highly controversial station ident will shortly be rotated out of the current playlist. I've managed to get hold of exclusive audio of Cllr Lawrence Marshall, backed by "Merv And The Magic Tones" who has voiced for us -

"you might be listening to Radio Free Porty, which should be playing good music. this could be beneficial to your mood"

Some interesting stats from the radiofreeporty.org web server.

300+ different people (in terms of web "hits" it's in 5 figures, but this is a useless figure)

Interestingly, no hits between 12am and 7am. This means all our hits are in the UK timezone, and from people who (probably) work or study and keep normal hours.

Must work on that.

you have not been retired.

all i am doing is letting people get a listen to the new stuff without them having to listen to 10 hours of old stuff in order to get to this or that new set!

This is just a note to thank each and every one of the kind donations to the station. We now have 150 pounds, more than enough to last us a year's hosting with the added comfort that if the hosting company goes bust we will be able to pay startup fees for another company.

Our current shoutcast server provider, UKNET, have provided exemplary service thus far, but in the topsy-turvy world of small companies I'm sure you'll understand that I'm going to pay for our service in 3-month installments - so when this month is up we'll pay for Nov, Dec & Jan.

For now, we don't need any more donations - we will only need money if we are going to do a launch party or increase the bitrate/concurrent users for a special event - but we'll deal with those things when they occur. For now, thanks to you all for securing our hosting for the next year!!!!

although Mop and I experienced some technical difficulties bringing you this selection, I'm pleased to be able to introduce RFP's first classical mix.

Beach Babe will testify that my enthusiasm for this DJ has *nothing* whatsoever to do with chocolate.

When I spoke to DJ Mop she was talking about the Dead Kennedys!!

I thought that Bob was going to get some competition as RFP's punk correspondent.
